Hi Everyone,
Hope you had as restful of a holiday as possible given everything going on at the moment. Firstly, I do want to begin by saying a thank you for everything you do to ensure we continue to have food on our store shelves.
I did want to highlight one thing that was part of yesterday’s announcement on the modified Step 2 that the province will be entering tomorrow, January 5th. The provisions on eligibility for emergency childcare involve the following groups of front-line workers:
- Grocery store and pharmacy workers
- Food safety inspectors and individuals working in the processing, manufacturing or distribution of food and beverages
From the information we have, this process is the same as what has been done previously but we will follow up if we hear differently from our colleagues at the Ministry of Education.
