An email was sent out on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 regarding a request for your organization’s members’ participation in a national study entitled “Flow of plastic packaging in Business-to-business operations: How do grocery stores in Canada manage plastic waste?”. To assist Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) with this study, Dillon Consulting Limited has been retained to survey the Canadian grocery store sector.
This email is to address the deadline of the survey. Thank you to everyone that has reached out and expressed concerns with the timelines. We value your input and appreciate any information that can be provided to this study. In consultation with ECCC, we have extended the survey deadline until March 4th, 2022.
The link to the survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ECCCGrocerySurvey
The survey is available in both official languages.
We kindly request your assistance in distributing the online survey link below to your organization’s members and/or grocery stores’ representatives. Sustainability or operational managers may be best suited to complete the survey. The survey may take between 30-45 minutes to complete, depending on the operations of a grocery store. Per the terms of the study, all data collected will be secured and kept confidential.
It is our understanding that ECCC will also be providing a copy of the report with confidential information redacted to participating organizations.
We appreciate your organization’s contribution to this important plastic study and the distribution of the survey to your organization’s grocery store network. Please direct any questions or concerns to grocersurvey@dillon.ca.
Sincerely,
Alida Kusch
Project Manager
Dillon Consulting Limited (on behalf of ECCC)
