We are counsel to the plaintiffs in a class action alleging price-fixing of farmed Atlantic salmon sold in Canada. A settlement has been reached with the defendants in the class action, and on February 9, 2024, the Federal Court of Canada approved a $5.25M settlement on behalf of all persons in Canada who purchased farmed Atlantic salmon or products containing farmed Atlantic salmon between April 10, 2013 and October 6, 2023.
As a number of CFIG members may have purchased farmed Atlantic salmon during the class period (April 10, 2013 and February 20, 2019), the Federal Court of Canada has approved an order that we circulate the notices to you so that you may inform your members. Copies of the court-approved English and French versions of the Notices are attached for your information.
