Further to our update to our members yesterday, as you may be aware, the enabling legislation to provide consumers with a two-month GST-HST relief pause, has been tabled in the House of Commons. With NDP support of Bill 78, it is expected to pass into law today or tomorrow.
As well, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister has just provided CFIG with the CRA guidance document. Please see the links below to the guidance document and the legislation. We hope the guidance document in particular, will help our members over the course of the next few weeks.
