Just in the last few hours, CFIG received notice that the Canada Revenue Agency will be holding special information sessions, in both English and French, to ensure businesses are provided with the information they need to apply the tax exemption provisions correctly. The links are in the message below, there is no need to register. This may be helpful to you and/or any of your team members.

GST/HST break Information session for businesses

On November 27, 2024, the Government of Canada introduced legislation for the proposed measure to provide a GST/HST break on certain items beginning December 14, 2024, and ending February 15, 2025.

Information sessions

The CRA is hosting information sessions on the GST/HST break.

The primary purpose of these sessions is to provide businesses with the necessary information to help them understand and apply the GST/HST correctly during the GST/HST break.

If you are interested in attending, please use the linksprovided below to join your preferred session. You do not need toregister.

French Information Session
