The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has launched a public consultation on a proposed change to the regulations governing the size of diced or cubed white potatoes packaged in hermetically sealed packages. Existing size requirements are outlined in the Canadian Grade Compendium: Volume 3 – Processed Fruit or Vegetable Products.
The public consultation runs from January 21 to February 21, 2022. All stakeholders are encouraged to review the proposed change and submit their comments.
