The major change is that CFIA reviewed its requirements for movements of products to retail and now says that “Personal use or domestic distribution of retail meat, meat products, fully cooked meat, table egg from grading station, egg product (including balut) and processed egg is exempt from permitting requirements.”
They also have a new interactive tool on their website that allows users to determine whether they need a permit and if so, which type. The sentence quoted above comes from this website.
